Five-day class for inspection of roofs with pink batts | Adelaide Now

The clean-up from Labor’s disastrous Home Insulation program continues:

TRADIES will inspect potentially dangerous roofs under the clean-up of the $2.4 billion insulation fiasco. The Federal Government has hired the tradies, many who have received just five days training in a classroom that does not involve stepping into the roof of a house before they start work.

The Government promised to inspect 200,000 homes for unsafe or poorly installed insulation after being forced to shut down its rebate scheme linked to the death of four installers and 100 house fires.

One of the industry’s biggest players CSR Bradford, who was given a contract to conduct 40,000 safety checks, decided to impose an extra five-day practical course on the 250 people it hired to make sure they were properly trained and to protect its 70-year reputation.

Hey Batts are very important for insulation, but it is also necessary that it should be of good quality or else it is of no use…

do you even know what batts are?

I totally agree, Batts. No matter how much you properly placed a roofing insulation, maintained and pampered, it’ll be useless if it’s of poor quality. Personally, I think buying insulation of higher quality is a good investment – unless you’re someone who prefers to change his roofing insulation every now and then! LOL.
